Beyond the Sidelines helps you pair physical-therapy exercises with private journaling. This policy explains, plainly, what we collect and how we use it.
Only to run the app for you: to save your progress, sync it across your devices, and show you your trends. We do not sell your data, and we never use it for advertising.
Your data is stored securely with Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication) and encrypted in transit.
If you connect to a physical-therapy center with a code, your therapist can see the exercises they assign you, your exercise progress and feedback, the pain rating and quick note you choose to send when you finish a session, and messages you send them. Your private journal (your daily mood, reflections, small wins, and photos) stays yours; your PT never sees it. You can disconnect from a center at any time.
You can edit your information in the app anytime, turn off a PT connection once you’ve healed, and permanently erase your journal, progress, and goals with Profile → Delete my data.
The app isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date above.
